Billy Gilman exploded onto the music scene as a child with his smash hit "One Voice" a song that still gets stuck in my head all these years later. Then something happened to him. His voice changed. When his voice changed, so did his career. Now Billy is back, and he's back in a big way. He auditioned for NBC's "The Voice" and when it was time for his blind audition, he stepped onto the stage and began to sing.
Gilman didn't have any advantage over any of the other contestants. He just like all the rest was looking at the back of four chairs, and the judges were looking at the fans in the stands. Billy started to sing, and when it was all said and done, all four judges, Adam Levine, Miley Cyrus, Alishia Keys, and Blake Shelton turned their chairs. Adam Levine was the coach that Billy picked to be his coach and mentor, and so the competition moves forward.
This past week Gilman was matched up Vs. Andrew DeMuro in the battle rounds. They sang Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror" which turned out to be a heck of a battle. Adam Levine picked Gilman to advance on , and so that's where the competitons sits right now.
Billy was kind enough to join the BradCooney.com Podcast and shared his thoughts on his experience on the show thus far. He also takes some fan questions. Listen to the Podcast BELOW
